The winter lights at Canary Wharf are becoming somewhat of an institution – and it is amazing to see how Canary Wharf has developed from a virtual wasteland in the 1990s. The crowds visiting the lights, maps in hand, were something I never could have imagined when we moved offices there (with a lot of grumbling from many of my colleagues) when it was first opened for business.

It was interesting to see how one of the exhibits, people lit up, was attributed, at least in part to AI. The initial model used was generated by AI which created people bowed over as if looking at their mobile phone. There was human intervention to modify and complete the installation – but I think I was slightly shocked that AI picked this view of humans – and how accurate I thought it is now.
