I’ve long been a fan of street photography – Edith Meier, as unstable as she might have been, has always been a bit of an icon to me. My favourite photos are usually those candid shots taken almost on the run, and the one for this post is a good example. Taken in India in 2018, I really like this because no-one is looking at the camera, the yellow pops and the sharp, bright, clean colour is juxtaposed with the rubbish in the street. This sums up a lot of my visit to India – a place I unexpectedly loved – colour, vibrancy and poverty, all together in one frame.
